Humbled

Our parish has Lenten retreats and prayer this year. Truthfully one of the reasons I returned. Last Sunday and for the next 3 weeks on Sunday afternoons there is a guest speaker on the power of prayer and then adoration and benediction.
Since this is all new to me as I meander on this path of faith and getting deeper into the faith I decided I will go. They had a nun from the Sisters of Life who went through how to pray and talk to God and how to listen. This was quite powerful on it's own but when the adoration started that was a new level for me.
First I was kind of lost as the adoration started but as time went on I was finding myself in a very humbling experience in front of the body of Christ.  I ended up in a very tranquil place and found myself praying and being humbled to be in front of our Lord Jesus. Certainly I was overtaken by this humbling experience and transformed by the simple beauty of this action.
I found myself with no worries, problems or concerns. Just me and our Lord Jesus together talking. Jesus listening to me and Jesus comforting me.
Certainly a powerful experience that if you have not had the pleasure you must experience.
I thank God for this opportunity and yes I will be there this Sunday and every Sunday afterwards as well.
 God Bless and take care!
