A Morning Prayer

Make us peacemakers, O God,
that we may be called children of God
and joint heirs with Christ.
May we never suffer calamities,
never fear temptation.
When the struggle is over,
may we rest in the peace of God,
the peace of utter tranquility,
through our Lord, who with the Father
and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns
forever and ever. Amen.
